Two towns north of Coventry
Nuneaton and Bedworth form a borough directly north of Coventry, along the A444 and the Coventry Canal. Both towns grew on coal mining, textiles and manufacturing, and that industrial character still shapes their economy. Nuneaton is the larger town and the borough's main shopping centre; Bedworth is smaller, with its own market and high street.
Nuneaton's best-known figure is the novelist George Eliot, born in 1819 on the Arbury estate just outside the town. Her name appears across Nuneaton, from the hospital to the town's statue, and Nuneaton Library holds a significant collection of her work.

A trades and services economy
A large share of the businesses we would expect to hear from in Nuneaton and Bedworth are trades and local services: builders, plumbers, electricians, roofers, landscapers, mechanics, cleaners, hair and beauty salons, and small professional practices. Their customers are mostly residents of the two towns and the surrounding villages, with some reaching into north Coventry and Hinckley.
These are some of the most competitive local searches there are. When someone searches "electrician Nuneaton" or "roofer Bedworth", the map results usually show a handful of businesses, and the ones with complete profiles, recent reviews and a fast website tend to get the call.
For a trades business, the most valuable page on the website is usually a page for each main service, with photos of real jobs and an easy way to send a picture of the problem.
03
Manufacturing and distribution
The borough also has manufacturers and distribution businesses on its industrial estates, benefiting from the A5, the M6 and the M69 nearby. Like their counterparts in Coventry and Rugby, these firms sell mostly to other businesses and need capability-focused websites, plus careers pages to recruit staff.
For these, our approach is the same as for any B2B supplier: plain descriptions of what you do, the standards you hold, and how to request a quote. See our website design and copywriting services.

How Nuneaton and Bedworth customers search
Residents search with the town name or "near me", mostly on phones, and they usually want someone soon. They look at reviews, photos, and whether the business looks established and trustworthy. Price matters, and many people want at least a rough idea of cost before getting in touch.
- Separate service pages for each main type of job.
- A clear list of the areas you cover, including the villages.
- Price guides or "from" prices where you can give them honestly.
- A quick contact form that works well on a phone and accepts photos.
- A steady flow of genuine reviews.

Keeping costs sensible
Many Nuneaton and Bedworth businesses are small and rightly careful with money. A simple, fast site of five to ten pages, a well-maintained Google Business Profile and steady review collection will do more than an expensive, complex site. We build these sites to be easy to update yourself, so ongoing costs stay low. Our guide to local SEO for small businesses sets out what you can do without help, and our local SEO service is there if you would rather hand it over.

Where to begin
If your site is old or you do not have one, start with the Google Business Profile: correct category, accurate hours, a full list of services, the areas you cover and a dozen real photos. Then build a small site that repeats and expands on that information, with a page for each main service. Ask every satisfied customer for a review, and reply to each one. Done consistently for a few months, this is often enough for a Nuneaton or Bedworth business to move from invisible to one of the names people see first when they search.
For businesses that also serve north Coventry, Hinckley or the villages along the A444, a short page explaining which areas you cover, and how quickly you can get there, helps both customers and search engines understand your patch.
